EAST MIDLANDS BRANCH DOES BUTTERFLY GARDEN FOR BBC GARDENER'S WORLD LIVE at THE NEC, BIRMINGHAM.

The East Midlands Branch is constructing a 'Garden in two Halves' for Butterfly Conservation UK's stand at the Garden Show at the NEC in June 2008. The design will consist of a formal garden, which surrounds a stone butterfly patio. The planting will consist of butterfly friendly plants with a small lawn leading to a white picket fence and gate. Go through the gate and there is a 'wild' garden complete with a small butterfly meadow. All this in a 5 meter site!

CAN YOU HELP MAN THE STAND?

We are looking for extra help from any Branch Members who would be free on the following days.

Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th or Sunday 15th June 2008. If you live fairly close to the M1, M42, a lift can be arranged. The day will be long, but there will be FREE admission to the show and a chance to look round the rest of the show. If you are already going to the show but can spare a few hours to help this would be welcome.

These are based on five years data submitted to local recorders, using recording forms distributed in the EMBC Spring newsletters.
